Hello,

Welcome to the first issue of our re-vamped newsletter. I hope you like the changes. And also a HUGE welcome to you - whether you're new to Product Funnel Formula or have been with us for a while. I know you'll find some great and interesting tidbits in these newsletters to implement into both your personal and professional lives.

Getting back into 'business mode' after the holidays is taking a bit of extra effort, but I'm excited at what the future brings. Aren't you? Fantastic!

bike rideAs I write this, I'm watching out my office window and can see my neighbours on the street. Cassie is learning how to ride her new bike, without the training wheels! I can see she's a bit scared and doesn't want her mum to let go. Although she's got the wobbles and the look of terror on her face, I know her. She'll be determined to get the hang of it.

.... I've come back to this a bit later and as I thought, Cassie is now riding her new bike with ease. Without the training wheels! With the desire and the determination, she has mastered this new skill.

What new skill can you become a 'master' of this week? Think about it ....

In my feature article this week you'll learn a couple of tips to have your home office (or any office for that matter) running smoothly. I'm sure you know that you should be doing these things, but are you?

I'm still busy taking care of my forward planning for this year and great and exciting things are in the wind for Product Funnel Formula for 2010. Sorry ... I'm not quite ready to spill the beans. I'll certainly let you know when all can be revealed. But rest assured, I have some of the world's best experts in their fields lined up to share their expertise with you, some absolutely fantastic tools to get your ideas into products and ... so much more. So, I'm asking you to stay tuned ..

Keep your eyes on your Inbox for this fortnightly ezine where I'll keep you up to date on what's happening as well as be sharing lots of tricks, tips and trinkets with you.

Here's wishing you every ounce of success you wish for in 2010,

Smiles

A common question I get asked is "How can I split my mp3 audio files into smaller tracks?"

This can be really handy, especially if you want to listen to them on your ipod, or burn tracks to a cd. How many times do you have to re-listen to the first ten minutes or so to get up to where you were before interruptions happened?

So, I've posted some steps on the blog you can use to break your longer files into smaller tracks using Audacity or another program which you can download (and yes ... it's fr.ee).

 Teleseminars&Trainings

Our first teleseminar training for 2010 kicks off with a 'bang'!

This month's topic is

"How To Become The Go-To Expert In Your Niche"

and I know this is a topic you're eager to learn more about. It's happening on Tuesday, February 2nd  at 12noon (Syd, Mel).

It's a fact that one of the easiest ways to attract prospective clients and customers to your business is to become the expert in your niche. The term 'Expert' carries credibility and prestige that can open many doors for you, and, as strange as it may seem, the term is relatively easy to acquire.

On this training call I'll reveal the processes you can use to help you quickly and easily set yourself up as the expert in your field.

Register here to save your seat. Lines are limited and are filled on a 'first in' basis.

Can't make the call? That's okay. If you register, you'll get access to the recording (for now). It's worth noting that attending the live calls often opens the doors to receive special bonuses and offers as well as open Q & A time with me at the end of the call.

Yes please, save a line for me.

Tele-trainings are held on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 12noon Australian Eastern Time (Syd & Mel). Convert to your local time.

Tele-seminars with Guest Experts are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 12noon Australian Eastern Time unless otherwise advised. Our guest for February 16th will be advised next week.

7 Tips To Keep Your Home Business Running Smoothly

Is your home business really a business or is it a hobby? To ensure you're on the right track to grow your business this year, I'd love to share with you a few tips to ensure you're heading in the right direction.

One of the most 'interesting' or perhaps 'challenging' aspects of being a business owner and working from home is keeping things running smoothly.  Things just have a tendency to get in the way when you?re at home. And these minor bumps in the road, while they can't distract a motivated and serious business owner from ultimately achieving their goals, can set you back and cause you to lose time and money.

The following 7 tips will keep your home business running smoothly:

1. Keep regular business hours, whatever they are.  One of the benefits of working from home is the ability to work when you want to and let's face it even if we love what we're doing, sometimes we just don't feel like working.  Other times, like when the children are sick or your water heater just exploded and flooded your office, you can't work.

However, to keep your home business running as smoothly as possible, try to keep regular business hours. If, for example, you find you're most productive in the morning then make it a habit to work for a few hours every morning.  You can of course work during other parts of the day as you feel like it or as you need to but that regular habit of working from 9-12 every day will help things stay on track.

2. Make time for planning.  You may not realise it but one of your most important tasks as a business owner is to plan your business and many business owners don't make this a priority. Set time aside each week to plan your business.   For example, every Friday afternoon plan what you're going to do the upcoming week.  Set goals and steps to achieve those goals.  On the first day of the month, do the same thing, plan for the month.  You'll also want to create an annual plan and each week or month, take a look at this annual plan and your data to see where you are and what you need to do to accomplish your goals.  Planning is essential to keep your business running smoothly. (Download this
Action/Marketing Planner to get planning for success).

3. Keep records. It's difficult to know how to plan or how to create goals if you don't have the right information to base your decisions on. Record keeping, analytics, financials and the like are therefore incredibly important. When you have the right data, and it's easy to access, then you can make great business building decisions.

4. Make time for fun. Making time for fun every day is a great way to keep things light and interesting. Even if it's just a few minutes of dancing to your favourite music, enjoying a massage or soaking in the bath it'll help you face any challenges that come your way.

5. Make a big difference with partnerships. Partnering with other business owners not only helps your business grow, it helps you stay on track to attain your goals. When you have someone counting on you, it helps you stay accountable. Brainstorming with partners also goes a long way to actually implement new ideas and stratgies in your business.

6. Consider outsourcing. There really is no need to 'go it alone' anymore. Trying to do everything yourself, particularly as your business grows not only is stressful but it makes it difficult for you to stay on top of everything and keep your business running smoothly.  Hire experts to help.

7. Do something you love. If you enjoy what you're doing and are fulfilled by it, it's just easier to make sure the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed. You're better able to focus, move past mistakes and seize opportunities.

Keeping your business running smoothly is about knowing your limits, creating systems and setting parameters for yourself and doing something you genuinely enjoy doing. As life hands out it's little surprises you'll take them in stride and your business won't suffer any setbacks.

Make sure you incorporate these 7 tips into your personal and professional world and you'll be on track with achieving the success you deserve as well as having your home business running smoothly.

Over the past few weeks I've had a lot of enquiries about autoresponders, how to go about setting them up, the best program to use etc. So, as you're planning your marketing for 2010 and perhaps setting up your digital newsletters and autoresponders, I thought I'd share some of my favourite programs.

AWeber - Emails, Autoresponders & Newsletters

Do you need your emails, autoresponders and newsletters organised? Do you need to manage    your database? How about having all the menial tasks of follow ups, thank you?s and customer contact placed on autopilot? Well, with Aweber, that?s exactly what you can do. Aweber help small businesses automate email follow up and newsletter delivery for website visitors. Includes templates for ezines, optin forms, email analytics and more.Take a Free Trial.

Autoresponders, Ezines, Shopping Cart and more

1Shopping Cart is a program that enables you to sell products and services, keep track of prospects and customers, put all your newsletters, broadcasts and emails on autopilot. Should you wish to set up an affiliate program for your own products or services, this is easy to do in 1shoppingcart. The systems includes shopping cart, order management, sales reporting and online payments. The email marketing side of the program includes autoresponders, text and html emails, tracking, mailing lists and newsletters. Take a test drive for just US$3.95

Would you like to reach other small business owners and solo-preneurs? It has been proved that ezine ads work. They may not be as exciting as videos, blogs, pay per click or some of the latest marketing tactics. Yet, if done right, ezine ads can be a very cost effective way to reach YOUR target market to get more visitors to your website, build your email list and result in more clients and sales.

Studies have shown that often prospects won't bite the first time they see your ad so it's best to run your ad in the same ezine a number of times.
