Continuing to Learn and Grow in 2010

As 2010 is no longer around the corner, but is upon me, it is important that I dedicate part of my week to continue to learn. Without doing this, I know my business will flounder or even stagnate. Do I want this to happen?

My answer is a big NO.

There are many so called business owners who have a dream of owning a financially viable and growing business, but they don’t move forward because they are continually taking more courses, gaining more qualifications, but don’t do anything about putting what they already know into practice. They say ‘after I complete this particular course, I’ll be able to achieve X”.

Does this sound familiar? I know what this feels like as I’ve been there myself. In fact, the more I studied, the less I actually applied my knowledge to my business. But no more.

Over the past 12 months I have implemented much of my knowledge and shied away from signing up for so many trainings and courses. I certainly didn’t cut it out completely, but became more selective about what I thought would move me forward. And I recommend you do this too. Always continue to learn so you can grow, but think about your goals and ask yourself, “Is this going to move me in the direction of my dreams? Is this going to add to the bottom line of my business?”

One such training that I have signed up for this year is with Kathleen Gage, and her Street Smarts Marketing VIP Club. This training will continue for 52 weeks and the information is shared in bite-size chunks via email each week. This system allows me to spend a little time each week revisiting marketing strategies, learning new ones – this avoids overwhelm with too much information at once, as well as gives the opportunity to implement each step along the way. I repeat, implement each step.

And, a huge benefit of this training is the cost. For as little as 87c per day, I will be able to grow my business to the level I choose – obviously this will depend if I take the required action. But then again, I’m a real action taker so that wont be a problem.

So here’s my goal. (I’m writing this here so I show you all my commitment to the success of Product Funnel Formula). I will continue this year with Kathleen’s VIP Club and reap the rewards as my business not only grows in 2010 but at a minimum, quadruples my income.

I can’t wait to report my results in 12 months’ time.

Remember, you may think you’re in the business of coaching, finance, real estate or whatever. But – regardless of your niche, you are in the business of marketing and sales. You are in the business of making money. Without these elements, you really aren’t in business. You instead have a hobby.

If you also want to improve your marketing skills (what good is your business or expertise if people don’t know about you or where to find you?) I suggest you take a look at the Street Smart Marketing VIP Club.
