A Message From Danette

Hello,

Again, it’s always wonderful to see so many new subscribers join our community at Product Funnel Formula, and so ‘welcome’!

Were any of you affected by the amazing dust storms that blanketed parts of New South Wales and other areas of the country? On Wednesday morning, we awoke to the most eerie sight – it looked like the whole world was on fire.

Thick red dust clouds completely surrounded our house, and before long we realised it wasn’t just our suburb, but all of Sydney, and much of the state. I thought I’d post a couple of pictures for you to see what it was like.

Now, the dust has settled, but it has taken days and will take a few more, to mop us, and get everything clean again.

We had a great tele-call on Wednesday with Kylee Legge, The Publishing Queen, and those of you on the line were thrilled to learn all the tips and secrets in becoming a published author.

I love to share ways for you to grow your business and let you know about anything coming up by other business owners. Sometimes there might be a listing that could be ‘just what you’re looking for’. Tele-Interview …

Due to the tele-training calls which are running over the next two weeks, we will not be conducting any interviews. However, I’ll let you know about the next interview shortly.

The advantage of being on these calls ‘live’ is that you get to ask the expert any questions you like, and can often take advantage of special freebies or offers on the day. Not only that, but I stay on the line for up to an hour following the interview just to answer your questions, challenges and brainstorm with you. I love this part of the calls as I get to know more about you and share in your dreams and visions as well.

CONTENT MAY BE KING, BUT IT’S ALL IN THE LIST:

If you’ve heard it once, you’ve probably heard it a thousand times. “It’s all in the list.” There’s a reason why this comment is heard so often; because without your list you can’t go very far in the world of internet marketing.

List building is the one aspect of your internet business which needs to be worked on first, with the most importance and the most consistency of any internet business process. Your list is your means to money, and without money your business venture can’t proceed. We don’t want that.

An important thing we’ll mention right from the get-go is spamming. The CAN SPAM act of 2003 made it an illegal practice to send bulk marketing emails without the consent of the recipients.

But, you still need somewhere to send those email messages, right? Of course you do. This is why the following information is going to be so important for you. It will list different ways of legally obtaining those names for your list.

1) When you are creating your website, be sure to insert an opt-in box for people to subscribe to your mailing list. This will be a necessary feature for those who find you through the next steps we are going to recommend.

2) Writing articles to submit to article banks. By writing and submitting articles based on the topics you intend to promote, you can submit them to article banks/directories. Make them rich in keywords, and remember to put your name and website information on the bottom of each article. That way prospects can find your opt-in form and sign up.

3) Joint ventures are a fantastic way to build your list quickly. This is a great opportunity for getting your name noticed, and having people sign up to receive what you have to offer. When it comes to free products or services, many visitors don’t think twice about leaving their contact information to receive their goods.

4) Adding an additional paid bonus to your free gift page can also get some money rolling in as you build your list. There are many people who will jump at the chance to get a good deal as a result of an offer they saw after receiving a free product.

5) Add free reports or other incentives for sign-ups directly from your website. Keep a specific report especially for those who sign up to your mailing list from your website itself. This will let them know how much you value them right from the start.

Once your list grows, you can keep it running smoothly by converting free customers to paid customers. Start small by offering eBooks or other low-ticket items. You can gradually increase these to reports, audios or anything else which can fill the need your customers have. Once your list is strong, your business will be too.

This week sees another amazingly inspiring woman, Lorraine Pirihi. Lorraine, also referred to as The Productivity Queen, specialises in helping small business owners be much more productive and profitable so they can work less and earn more.

With that in mind, this week, we feature the inspiring Kylee Legge, also known as The Publishing Queen. Kylee offers advice and training on how to self publish and guides you through each of the steps in the publishing process customised for your specific book. She also runs seminars to assist in the various stages of the publishing process.

What has been your biggest challenge in business and how did you overcome it?

Keeping up my motivation to continue moving forward. When I feel this way it means I’m getting off track . To overcome these times (and they can happen more than you think), I find a coach who can help me push through these periods.

If you had to start your business again from scratch, what would you do differently?

Find a coach who could help me get crystal clear on what I was trying to achieve. I wasted so much time and money trying to work it all out myself.

Who do you admire and why?

Fabienne Frederickson from Client Attraction. She has a very successful business from home. It’s the same business model that I use. Fabienne has managed to ‘have it all, successful business and family life. She’s also delivers on what she promises (a rare trait these days).

It takes a lot of determination and dedication to succeed in business. What keeps you motivated?

Belief in myself. Staying fit and healthy keeps me positive and motivated. Attending seminars, listening to CD’s, masterminding and networking. Seeing the money in my bank account!

Could you share your 3 biggest success tips?

1.  Being consistent
