A Message From Danette

Hello,

Wow, what a week I’ve had – and loved every minute of it. During the week I attended Ludwina Dautovic’s Red Tent Women event, and I had a fabulous night out, as did so many other women. We enjoyed a delicious meal, did lots of networking and were inspired by the wonderful Monica Trapaga. Some of you may know Monica as a Jazz Singer and business owner, and others of you may remember her from her days educating your young ones on Playschool.

There were some incredible door prizes being one, and I was also the lucky winner of a prize generously donated my Natalia Mendez from RomanceMe.com – a pack to bring ‘fun into the bedroom’. We all had lots of laugh over that one as here’s me, the serious business owner – winning this delightful package. So, thank you Natalia, and I look forward to catching up with you in the boudoir!

I am sure everyone present had nothing but great things to say to Ludwina for putting on a wonderful night and giving so many women the opportunity to announce their business, network, form strategic alliances – and enjoy a great meal and glass of wine at the same time. So, thanks Ludwina.

Video File Converter

Zamzar is a free online file conversion web application. Zamzar can convert videos off the internet to AVI, MPEG, MP4, 3PG, MOV etc and can also convert between audio, image and document formats. Tele-training ..

We’re half way through our 4 part tele-training series teaching how to create your own info products to create your info product empire.

Lots of great content is being shared, and from some of the feedback received already, some great ideas and products are being born.

Tele-Interview …

Due to the tele-training calls which are running over the next two weeks, we will not be conducting any interviews. However, I’ll let you know about the next interview shortly.

The advantage of being on these calls ‘live’ is that you get to ask the expert any questions you like, and can often take advantage of special freebies or offers on the day. Not only that, but I stay on the line for up to an hour following the interview just to answer your questions, challenges and brainstorm with you. I love this part of the calls as I get to know more about you and share in your dreams and visions as well.

Tele-seminars and tele-calls are fabulous as we bring the knowledge to you, so you don’t even have to leave your desk.  In fact, there is ‘no excuse’ to not take your knowledge to whole new levels as so many experts willingly share their expertise with you.

HITTING THE OPT-IN LIST BULL’S EYE (Or Building Targeted Lists):

Although most of you now know the importance of building your lists, you might not be aware of how a highly targeted opt in list is paramount for your business. How about we change that?

The first and most important step is to decide on your niche or target market. Knowing what this is not only gives you something to focus on, but will help you find the people who will be interested in the information you have to provide.

Finding a niche or target market which will be profitable is part of your initial research. While choosing a topic such as “Elephants wearing pink tutus” might be of interest and passion to you, it’s probably not the best choice for an online business venture. It may be difficult for people to gain trust in your products if you don’t carefully research first. Let’s look for something a little more promising financially.

How about more popular topics, such as pets, or parenting, or even starting an online business? These topics are good, but could end up being quite global in nature. Take pets for example. Think of the many specific kinds of pets there are. Then, if you go into the different breeds among those types of pets, the numbers are starting to become completely overwhelming. You would be best to start narrowing down your options to something a little more controllable and specific.

So, instead of pets, you choose to narrow it down to dogs. This is a good start. With a little more research, maybe you have determined that dogs can be a profitable target niche. If you already have a relevant list, maybe you purchased one or you have partnered with someone and are using thier list, this is a great time to send out a mailing to your list, letting them know about the upcoming information on both your site and your mailings or ezines.

Don’t be alarmed if you see people opt-ing out.  You’re fine tuning the list for optimal profits.  It’s much better to have a targeted list of 1,000 people than to have a global list of 20,000 who don’t really care at all about what you’re doing.

You may want to break down your niche into even smaller chunks, and stay specifically on topics such as “Caring for your new puppy” or “Training your dog”. If this is your chosen method, your list may get smaller still. However, you could choose to stay within the more global area of dogs, while providing what is known as “mini-courses” or “mini-reports” on the small, individual items such as those mentioned above.

Whether you’ve purchased a list(which I don’t particularly recommend) or are building one from scratch, a targeted and specific niche topic is the key to online profits.  Specialising in a narrow subject makes it easier to become the expert and a source of quality information.

Once your subscribers gain that feeling of trust with you, they will recommend your site or mailing list to their friends. This is one of the great ways your list will keep growing; only now it’s with people you know are interested in what you have to offer. There is always room for new subscribers interested in your niche.
